The son of the mayor of San Luis Potosí, Sebastián Galindo Arriaga, was involved in a violent incident that has generated controversy in the city. In a video circulating on social media, Sebastián can be seen alongside his bodyguards and other men kicking and hitting a young man, leaving him unconscious on the ground.
According to witnesses, the mother of the victim was also assaulted when she tried to protect her son, being pushed and falling to the ground. This is not the first scandal involving the mayor's son, which has led to criticism of the family for alleged abuse of power.
In light of these events, Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos confirmed that it is his son Sebastián, but he defended his actions, arguing that he was the one attacked in the fight. Despite the video evidence, Galindo Ceballos stated that he would not allow his family's reputation to be harmed and justified the fight as something common among young people.
Sebastián Galindo Arriaga sustained facial injuries during the altercation, but he decided not to press charges, as he claimed it was a routine situation. So far, no complaint has been filed with the Attorney General's Office of San Luis Potosí regarding this incident. The mayor's family has been criticized for trying to downplay the seriousness of the event and not taking responsibility for Sebastián's behavior.
